JMI Implements Training Program for Yemeni Media Persons

The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) conducted a training program for building the capacities of media persons at "Yaman Shabab (Youth TV)" channel. The program focused on skills of preparing field TV reports. It is part of JMI initiatives and activities to train journalists and media persons on the local and regional levels to enhance their capacities in different specialized and relevant topics.

JMI Implements Training Program on MIL for Students

Male and female supervisors of school media clubs said that the opportunity given to students to join the Media and Information Literacy (MIL) project, implemented by the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), in partnership with UNESCO and with the support of the EU, since the beginning of the current school year 2017/2018, had greatly contributed to building their capacities for analyzing values of news and information and telling news from rumors.

JMI Launches Code of Conduct and Editorial Policy for Community Radios

The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) has announced the launch of a code of conduct and general editorial policy for local community radios, taking into consideration the special nature of each radio, depending on its surrounding environment. This took place at the conclusion of a workshop, in which managers and employees in a number of local community radios took part.

JMI Debates Two MA Theses on Impact of Turkish Media Rhetoric and CNN Coverage of Iraq News

The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) debated two research studies by students seeking to earn the MA degree. The first was titled "Impact of Turkish Media Rhetoric on Opinion Leaders in Jordan: Members of 17th Parliament as Example," while the second was titled "CNN Arabic Website Coverage of Iraq News 2014-2015." The two studies were supervised by Dr. Jamal Shalabi.

An analytical study has shown that the Jordanian daily press contributed to the creation of an image that has a security character around the city of Maan linked to the security crises and incidents that the city had witnessed.
