Panel Discussion at JMI on Importance of Reducing Violence Against Children

The Jordan Media Institute (JMI), in collaboration with UNICEF, organized a panel discussion titled "How Can A Multi-Sectoral Plan Contribute Toward Reducing Violence Against Children?" The panel discussed the importance of raising awareness of the dangers of violence. This is within the project "Makani," which aims at building the capacities of journalists in the field of children rights and protection.

Al-Masri at JMI: Israel Currently Seeking To Start Building Alleged Temple

Former Prime Minister Taher al-Masri said that the Jordanian state must not fear its own citizens or their demands and must seize the opportunity of the unified popular-official position against the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem to put its house in order and launch political and economic reforms. Half reform is no longer acceptable; Jordanian citizens have offered a lot and are always ready to defend their country and the future of their children.

Results of Study of UAE Media in Collaboration With JMI

The UAE's National Media Council (NMC) has announced the results of a study of the trust index of UAE media, conducted by the NMC, in collaboration with the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), with the aim of identifying general patterns of use of media, sources of news that the public relies on, and trends of trust in the media.

Princess Rym Ali Takes Part in Panel Discussion With Dortmund University Journalism Students

HRH Princess Rym Ali, founder of the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), said that there is a pressing need for minimizing the negative effect of the media on individuals of various ages, specifically children, who are especially attached to digital tools. She noted the need for building on the Media and Information Literacy project, implemented by the JMI in cooperation with UNESCO and the EU.

The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) organized a panel discussion on "Media and Gender," attended by JMI and journalism students from the Technical University of Dortmund in Germany. Winners of the 10th edition of the Mediterranean Journalist Awards were announced by HRH Princess Rym Ali of Jordan at the International Bestowing Ceremony that took place in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels.
