Libyan Education Minister visits JMI

Amman, April 5th 2012 The Libyan minister of Education, Mr. Sulieman Alsaheli, visited the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) where he met with HRH Princess Rym Ali, toured its campus and got familiarized with its programs. He was joined by the Libyan minister to Jordan, Dr. Mohammed Al Bargathi. The aim of the visit was to look into the possibilities of cooperation in the media education and training sectors, with emphasis on the Master’s Program in Journalism and New Media which JMI offers. HRH Princess Rym provided an extensive briefing during the visit on the MA program and its objectives in training a new elite cadre of professional journalists to the highest standards and skills needed in the workplace, welcoming Arab Students who are interested in the media field to join the Program that will meet their aspirations and needs. The Libyan Education Minister praised the advanced academic standards that JMI offers and expressed his aspiration to cooperate with the JMI in both the Master’s Program and in the training field. JMI is accepting admission applications for the “Journalism and New Media Master’s Program” for the academic year 2012- 2013 until 15 June 2012.
