Young College Students from Bethlehem Visit JMI

5 August 2015<br /> <br /> A delegation of Palestinian students from Bethlehem, on a study tour of Jordan, visited the Jordan Media Institute on Wednesday, 5 August. They toured the facility and were briefed on the Journalism and New Media Master&rsquo;s Degree Program.<br /> The 18 young students of film making at the Dar Al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture in Bethlehem were accompanied by faculty members and representatives of Palestinian media organizations. They met with Dean Basim Tweissi to discuss scopes of cooperation between the two academic institutions. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> <br /> JMI student Yazan Thiab, from Ramallah, presented his graduation project &ndash; a documentary on alternative music in Palestine &ndash; to the students and discussed the documentary as well as evaluation criteria. &nbsp;<br /> <br /> The visit is part of the university&rsquo;s project &ldquo;Portrait of Palestine&rdquo; which aims to acquaint the students with media and academic institutions in Jordan and help them develop networks and increase job opportunities.<br /> &nbsp;
