JMI Organizes Student Exchange Program With German Universities

8 Dec. 2017&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Amman- A delegation of journalism students at the Erich Brost Institute for International Journalism in the Technical University of Dortmund visited the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) within the program of student and cultural exchange implemented by the JMI with the aim of exchanging experiences and knowledge between JMI students and journalism and media students in other countries.<br /> <br /> Journalism students and the accompanying teaching staff toured the JMI and learned about its curricula and teaching methods. They were also briefed about some projects, training programs, and initiatives implemented by the JMI.<br /> <br /> German and JMI students took part in a panel discussion on &quot;Media and Gender,&quot; hosting former Social Development Minister Reem Abu Hassan and writer and journalist Rana Husseini. The students and two panelists discussed issues related to women empowerment and economic participation.<br /> <br /> At the end of the day, the German visitors held a discussion with JMI students on the press reports that the students at the Technical University of Dortmund plan to work on in Jordan. The topics of these reports include women economic empowerment, stories about Syrian refugees in Jordan, Jordanian and Palestinian students studying abroad, the new city, and water resources in Jordan.<br /> <br /> Students from the JMI took part in another exchange program with the Free University of Berlin in Germany this summer and participated in academic, cultural, and media activities.&nbsp;
