The final workshop was on media literacy and understanding media outlets.

The training program included topics on presentation skills, television talk shows, video journalism, fundamentals of television production and presentation, radio production, and media literacy and understanding media outlets.

Dr. Basim Tweissi, dean of the JMI, said at the conclusion of the training program that the JMI always seeks to cooperate and build bridges with all parties, including the Iftaa Department, to develop its media tools. This is especially since the nature of media professions requires constant preparation and training to be able to positively handle developments in technology and media content and consequently deliver its message in the best manner and to communicate the message of the Jordanian state in defending moderate Islam and renouncing extremism.

Dr. Hassan Abu Arqub, director of public relations and international cooperation at the Iftaa Department, said that "the trainings aimed at qualifying the staff of the department to handle media outlets and its tools so that the participants can appear in the media in a professional manner and be able to fully produce, prepare and present programs."

In this context, Abu Arqub revealed that two of the participants will present two programs on Jordan Television during the month of Ramadan. The department has also produced a 30-episode television show that was technically prepared by the staff of the department who took part in the workshops. He noted that "the department currently has a media unit that is capable of producing and implementing new ideas and presenting them to the public."

The JMI and the Iftaa Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build the capacities of a group of staff at the department and hold a number of training workshops to enable them to handle modern media tools, in cooperation with GIZ and with the support of the EU.
