​Deadline for Receiving Scholarships at JMI Extended

8 July 2018<br /> <br /> Amman- The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) has decided to extend the deadline for receiving partial or full scholarships for the MA in Journalism and New Media-10th Intake until its close of business on Monday, 16 July. The JMI&#39;s decision is meant to give an additional opportunity to those wishing to apply for a scholarship in view of the large number of applications received after the holy month of Ramadan.<br /> <br /> The JMI is providing 40 scholarships this year. Students admitted into the program, including Jordanians and Arabs, from all academic specializations, can receive a partial or full scholarship. The JMI is also providing scholarships for Syrian students who meet the necessary admission conditions.<br /> <br /> The MA program, which is offered as part of two tracks, comprehensive examination and academic thesis, aims at graduating specialized and professional journalists who are equipped with advanced skills in digital journalism, which has gained great attention in contemporary media.<br /> <br /> The JMI invites journalists, media persons, and others who wish to work in the field of media, from different specializations, to take advantage of this opportunity by applying for a partial or full scholarship since 93% of JMI graduates work at press and media establishments.<br /> <br /> Students who wish to apply can do that directly or fill out a form on the JMI website &quot;www.jmi.edu.jo&quot; by 16 July 2018. Students residing outside the Kingdom can sit for the written test in their country of residence.<br /> <br /> To be admitted into the JMI, a student must be a holder of the first university degree (BA) in any specialization. He must also pass the admission tests.
