Project: “Detecting Human Rights Violations in Jordanian Media Outlets”

Objectives:

The project aimed to develop principles of human rights media coverage and detect human rights violations through the media.

Project Description:

The project entailed:

  1. Training journalists on covering human rights issues and detecting human rights violations through the media.
  2. Collecting academic and professional resources for journalists in the human rights sphere and creating an electronic library on human rights.
  3. Drafting and developing a guidebook for press coverage of human rights issues.

Project Outputs:

  1. Organizing four training courses on coverage of human rights issues.
  2. Launching “Article 15” as a specialized website and e-library with academic and professional resources for journalists covering human rights.
  3. Drafting and publishing a guidebook on coverage of human rights issues.
