Fayez Tarawneh, chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, has stressed the Kingdom's ability to weather the storm experienced by the Middle East. He underlined its tireless efforts to achieve peace and promote security and stability for the region and its peoples.
Speaking at a lecture yesterday at the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) under the headline "Jordan and Regional Conditions," attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali, founder of JMI, Tarawneh asserted that Jordan would pursue comprehensive reform and hold parliamentary elections despite the crises suffered by the region. He indicated that this is the strongest evidence of the stable political situation in the Kingdom, the wisdom of its leadership, and the awareness and unity of its people.
Tarawneh elaborated on Jordan's vision, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, in handling regional crises and their repercussions in line with the higher interest of the Jordanian state.
During the lecture, which was attended by students of the current and previous intakes at JMI, Tarawneh stressed that Jordan is working, alongside various active regional and international parties, to counter the danger of terrorism and its extremist gangs. Jordan has always called for stepping up international coordination and cooperation as part of a holistic vision.
