JMI Acknowledged as Jordanian Pioneer by University of Jordan

25 March 2015<br /> Dean of the Jordan Media Institute Dr. Basim Tweissi gave a lecture at the University of Jordan on Wednesday, 25 March 2015 about the institute&rsquo;s efforts to develop media and journalism education in Jordan and the Arab world. The lecture was part of the Jordanian Pioneer Program of the university which seeks to acknowledge leading institutions in the Kingdom.<br /> <br /> Dr. Tweissi said Her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali founded the institute in order to help improve standards and rebuild public trust in journalism and grow to become a center of excellence in the Middle East.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> He added that JMI will soon start accepting new applications and will also be offering scholarships. He encouraged university graduates who are planning to join the media and journalism sector to apply through the website <a href="http://www.jmi.edu.jo/">www.jmi.edu.jo</a>&nbsp; in order to benefit from the institute&rsquo;s facilities and quality education as well as participate in local and international training programs.&nbsp;
