Jordan Media Institute (JMI) organized a five-day workshop in the Sultanate of Oman on media campaign management and planning. The sessions for 15 senior media and public relations managers at the Omani Ministry of Education were held in cooperation with a leading training and consultancy company in the sultanate. <br />
<br />
JMI Dean, Dr. Basim Tweissi said it was the institute’s first workshop in Oman and expressed hope that it would constitute the start of an effort to expand training services to other Arab states. He added that the move was part of JMI’s efforts to become a regional center of excellence that spreads professional journalism standards and empowers journalists with skills to overcome technical and professional challenges.<br />

Head of the ministry’s educational portal Dr. Mohammad Bin Mohsen Al Amiri who participated in the workshop said he found the sessions useful, especially as Oman prepares to initiate media campaigns on the portal and future transformation to e-government services. <br />
