ِAmman - As part of enhancing the learning experience of students in the Master’s program at the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) and provide them with a firsthand understanding of the practical aspects of TV broadcasting, JMI organized a field visit to the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) and to Jordan Media City.
The Journalism and New Media students toured JRTV facilities including studios, newsrooms and control rooms as news segments and shows were broadcasting live.
The JRTV Public Relations Department briefed the students about the institution and its work as well as its advanced production equipment that are used in radio and TV broadcasting.
The students learned about the process in which the content of news and programs are prepared for both radio and TV outlets. They also witnessed the techniques used in running live programs from within a control room.
At Jordan Media City, students visited Roya TV’s newsroom and studios, where they followed the steps of preparing a news segment from the moment of receiving the news item until its final delivery to the studio where it is broadcasted.
