Amman, 1 February (Jordan Media Institute) -- Her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali, founder of the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), today took part in the annual breakfast held by JMI for its students. The aim of the gathering is to strengthen social ties among all parties.<br />

Her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali asked students to take advantage of the great opportunities and resources provided by JMI, whether in education, training, or external fellowship programs, as well as other opportunities that could help them fulfill their aspirations and release their creative potentials. <br />
<br />
Her Highness stressed that a professional journalist must have broad knowledge in all fields and multiple skills. This is why JMI decided to include Philosophy and Cultural Studies in its study plan in view of its great role in the life of individuals and society on all levels. <br />
<br />
Dr. Basim Tweissi, dean of JMI, underlined the importance of the applied and practical aspects of all subjects. He said that students have to carry out their assignments competently and proficiently. After all, they are journalists. Besides, the materials they produce must be in line with the professional and ethical standards for publishing and broadcasting.<br />

The breakfast was attended by the members of the teaching staff and JMI directors. <br />
