Training Workshop: Toward Media Message To Counter Terrorist Discourse

Amman, 26 November (Jordan Media Institute) -- A training workshop titled &quot;Toward Media Message To Counter Discourse of Radicalization and Terrorism&quot; began at the Jordan Media Institute in cooperation with the Radio Netherlands Training Center (RNTC), with the participation of media persons from Jordan and Egypt. The four-day workshop aims at exploring new ways, methods, and ideas to create a media message that can counter the extremist discourse in some media used by terrorist gangs as platforms.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> The two trainers from RNTC, Brandon Oelofse and Anass Bendrif, will speak about a number of themes on the techniques of targeting a specific audience and how to use a news story to achieve the desired objectives. They will also speak about defining terrorism and its relationship with the media and how to produce media content to counter this extremist media.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> &nbsp;
