'Video Journalism' Course at Jordan Media Institute

19 Mar. 2018&nbsp;<br /> <br /> ِAmman- A video journalism course for a number of employees of the General Iftaa Department began at the Jordan Media Institute. This is part of a cooperation program to train and build the capacities of the staff of the Iftaa Department in communication and media skills.<br /> <br /> The course aims at developing the capacities of the participants in video journalism and its different aspects, including filming by mobile phone, rules for building a professional video, conducting interviews, cleaning up audio, developing ideas, and building the story and merging it with other digital tools, such as infographics and editing.<br /> <br /> Tareq Bakri, who manages the media capacity building project, noted the importance of this course to give the participants the skills that would enable them to prepare and develop video reports by using modern techniques. He added that the course is within a joint program with the Iftaa Department that includes several other topics, such as TV and radio production, social media networks, media literacy principles, and dealing with the media. This will enable the staff to use these tools in the best way.<br /> <br /> The workshop, in which 10 employees of the General Iftaa Department are taking part, is within a project funded by the EU and implemented by the GIZ.
