Project: Battling Misinformation and Promoting Rights and Freedoms in Jordan Through Media Literacy

Objectives:

This project seeks to engage civil society and advocates for MIL, which according to UNESCO is concerned with the ability to access the media and other information sources, to understand and evaluate critically their contents and functions, and to critically and ethically use them to create communications in a variety of contexts, including teaching and learning, self-expression, creativity, and civic participation. It will encourage CSOs to include MIL in their own training and programs. The online training sessions will make the skills available to everyone and the seminars we will hold will create a national debate about issues related to media development and freedoms and access to information.

  • Sign MoUs with organizations from different regions in the country. They include Jordan Press Association, National Centre for Human Rights, JOHUD, National Centre for Culture and Arts, Generations for Peace, Creativity Club Karak, Qantara center Maan, Wadaq society Irbid and others.
