Study “Public Confidence in the UAE Media”

JMI research unit worked on this study to determine confidence levels in the United Arab Emirates media. The survey, which was conducted in collaboration with the National Media Council in Abu Dhabi, gauges the patterns of UAE residents’ usage of and attitudes toward media outlets.

The study was designed to measure society’s confidence in the Emirati media using a questionnaire that targeted university students; officials in governmental and semi-governmental departments; employees of private sector institutions; and a representative sample of citizens and residents living in various geographic areas.

The public opinion poll covered transparency levels; accuracy and validity of information; effectiveness and diversity of communication channels; coverage of   local and international events in terms of quantity and quality; and respect for privacy.
